It’s all about Cryogenius.

It’s all about Cryogenius.

Specialist in cryogenics

1960
demaco

It all started back in 1960. Theo Dekker, an entrepreneur from Waarland, decided to start his own company. This company, later called Demaco, initially focused entirely on construction and agricultural machinery.

Soon after that, the need for machinery experts became evident within the sector, and Theo took advantage of this. Demaco was renamed -Dekker Machines and Construction- and adapted a new focus: machinery construction.

1985
demaco

In the early eighties, the company unwaveringly pursued this specialization. In 1985, however, Demaco got in touch with cryogenic techniques for the first time, which immediately sparked an interest. Cryogenic technology is a highly specialized field; this proved to fit Demaco's ambition and eagerness to learn.

1989
demaco

In 1989 the decision was made to focus on vacuum technology in addition to mechanical engineering and cryogenics. Meanwhile, cryogenic technology became one of the two pillars of the company, next to the specialism of mechanical engineering.

1996

In 1996 Ronald Dekker, the son of Theo Dekker, took over the company. Ronald had lived in the USA, Algeria, and France for some time, and upon his return to the Netherlands, he took on the position of project manager cryogenics at Demaco.

Shortly after the handover, the decision was made to focus entirely on the new and specialist area of expertise for which there was much passion at Demaco. With this move, Demaco went from two business pillars to one specialization: cryogenics!

2000
demaco

Demaco’s growth continued. And as the production accelerated, Demaco’s talented team grew as well. By 2000, the company had grown so much that to fit the entire team, several offices were needed. This resulted in the opening of a new and impressive head office in Noord-Scharwoude. The new headquarters offers enough space to accommodate the entire team under one roof.

2009
demaco

Around 2009, Demaco, like most medium-sized companies, also noticed the effects of the economic recession and the global financial constraints that came with it.To deal with this in the best possible way, Ronald Dekker appointed Rob Groenendijk as interim manager. The collaboration went so well that Rob decided to buy in as a co-owner of Demaco. From that moment on, the company has two owners: Ronald Dekker and Rob Groenendijk.

2019
demaco

Fortunately, the economy stabilized again, and Demaco's earlier growth again continued consistently. Demaco is now a well-known name in cryogenics and vacuum technology. Both nationally and internationally, a prominent brand with prestigious projects on its list of references and an outspoken opinion on creating the best cryogenic infrastructures.

2030
demaco

What will the future bring for Demaco? No one can tell for sure. However, the course of action is straightforward.

Demaco continues to learn and specialize, with the appropriate frankness and flexibility to maintain its agility to respond to the latest trends and opportunities within a rapidly evolving industry.

By continuously growing and developing and entering into successful collaborations with both gas producers and research institutes, we will remain at the forefront of cryogenics while retaining our reliability and quality.
