Demaco has won the contract for the vacuum insulated pipelines for a new LNG Plant in Rio Grande, Bolivia

Demaco has been awarded the contract to engineer, produce and supply vacuum insulated pipelines for the transfer of LNG on a new LNG plant in Rio Grande, Bolivia. The order is given by the consortium Indox Cryo Energy (Ros Roca) – Sener, which has won the contract in Bolivia, with a value of 105 million. The consortium will construct a plant to liquefy Natural Gas (LNG) that will serve 6 of the 9 regions of the country. Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), the company contracting the project, has scheduled to start operation by the end of 2014.

The new LNG Plant will be located in the city of Rio Grande and will serve 140.000 households and 5.000 commercial users in thirteen smaller cities.

The Vacuum Insulated Pipeferlines (VIP) have process diameters ranging from 2 to 8” with a total length of more than half a kilometer.

The LNG Plant will have the capacity to produce 200 metric tons of Liquid Natural Gas per day. The LNG be transported in cryogenic tanks to Regasification Satellite Stations (ESR), which will re-gasify the LNG and distribute the gas through pipelines to houses and commercial users.

With this project Demaco strengthens her position as Cryogenius and her position within the LNG market.
