Aligning the LNG business case for ports, shipping operators, and LNG providers
Are you ready for 2015?
Chances are you’re hesitantly shaking your head. The upcoming ECA standards are coming into force on January 1, 2015 and according to the UK Transport Select Committee, this will trigger an 87% rise in annual fuel bills for the shipping industry. LNG, seen as one of the most economical and environmentally viable fuels, offers the most plausible solution to this. However, industry experts are indicating that the main stream shipping industry is not ready to adopt LNG as a fuel, and that a knowledge build-up of at least 10 to 15 years is needed. As transitions before it, LNG bunkering will require time and careful planning to come into fruition.
Join us for the upcoming 3rd Annual LNG Bunkering Summit where LNG pioneers from ports, ship operators, suppliers, producers and technology providers will gather to discuss the obstacles facing both the shipping and port communities, exploring developments in conversion and new builds along with the physical bunkering infrastructure required to power LNG fuelled ships.
Demaco, as one of the sponsors and producer of cryogenic infrastructures, will be present with an own booth and our expert, Erik Admiraal, gives a presentation at the conference.
Topic for the presentation:
Vacuum Insulated Pipelines minimize BOG rate and optimize TCO.
 Best insulation value compared to any other insulation: how does VIP work?
 Advantages of using VIP in Terminals and Bunker stations
 Reference projects
 Capex versus Opex, it is all about TCO!
