Demaco is proud to have contributed to OperationAIR (Assist In Respiration), a project of a TU Delft student team. In recent weeks, the young scientists have been working on the development of a safe and fast to produce respirator that can be used in case of possible shortages due to the coronavirus. One of the important aspects of this was that all parts can be supplied by Dutch companies.
It was not until mid-March that they started drawing up a Programme of Requirements (PoR) and ordering the first parts and now, less than a month later, the first prototype of the AIRone has already been clinically tested! That’s super-fast and the Dutch TV-programme “Nieuwsuur” (min. 17-22) already showed April 13th what clever minds are capable of in times of crisis! Now we are waiting for the approval of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and then Demaco Vacuum Technology is ready to deliver the necessary parts for production.
